Every year after Thanksgiving, I look forward to the sport of Black Friday shopping. Studying the ads on Thanksgiving day, making lists of which stores to hit at which times, and strategizing the best access routes to take within the stores.
Now though, almost all the best Black Friday stores are open on Thanksgiving Day, midnight, or they are just open 24 hours a day, like Walmart. Where's the fun in that?
If I can't get up at 4:00am just to line up for the Toy's R Us 5:00am opening in hopes of scoring a $4 Barbie set, then I just don't see the point anymore.
Having sales start at 10:00pm on Thanksgiving night? At 10:00pm on Thanksgiving night, I am full of turkey and liquor, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
This holiday has lost all meaning.

I won't go near the Alderwood Mall during the holidays. I'm all for Cyber Monday now.
